supporting the Stop Child Trafficking Now WALK!

The most people running in high heeled shoes is 279 organised through Hansaplast (Italy), at Largo la Foppa, Milan, Italy, on 4 July 2009.

Event Details...

Where: 62nd Street, adjacent to Lincoln Center
(between Amsterdam and Columbus)
Volunteer Check In: please arrive at 7am
Runner Registration: begins @ 8am
Stiletto Run begins @ 9:30am

**All Runners must enter on the corner of 62^nd St and Columbus Ave**

THE RULES

- The Run will take place on a path that is measured exactly 80m or 263 feet
- All participants must wear high heeled shoes.
- The shoe or "stiletto" must be at least 7 centimeters or 2.75 inches high and no more than 1.5 centimeters or 1/2 inches wide at the tip.
- Platform shoes are not permitted.
- The record is open to participants of both sexes.
- Runners must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

What to bring with you to the Run:

­ Your Fundraising Page printed from the website. Even if you do not have any money to turn in, EVERYBODY MUST BRING THIS PAGE...this is your Check-In Form.  See below on how to access your Fundraising Page
- Any donations you have collected (these will be collected when you check-in...Please do not bring cash
- Your stilettos and a light jacket or sweater incase it is cool in the morning
- We encourage Team Captains to bring signs with their team name
- Team Captains - remember to wear your Team Captain T-Shirt
- Your energy and spirit to bring an end to Child Trafficking!!

How to Print your Fundraising Page:

- Click:  Sign Up for Walk
- Participant/Team Search:  Type in your Name
- Click on your Name
- Print this page.  This is your Fundraising Page.  It has your name, Event location and fundraising amount.

What you'll receive at the Run:

- A SCTNow Stiletto Run t-shirt if you turn in $100 or more
- A SCTNow tote bag if you turn in $250 or more
- The knowledge that you have played an integral role in bringing an end to Child Trafficking!

Because we want to know who is coming, all registrations must be received by 12:00pm on Saturday, September 26th. After that, register on-site the day of the Run.

VOLUNTEERS

We are still looking for Volunteers. If you know anyone interested in supporting you and the SCTNow Walk and Stiletto Run as a volunteer, please ask them to give us a call on the Hotline at 212-333-SCTN (7286). Volunteer opportunities include checking Runners in at the Start, distributing food and refreshments at the Start/Finish line, cheering finishers and much more!

DIRECTIONS

By Car:

From Long Island
Take Long Island Expressway to Midtown Tunnel. Follow signs to Uptown/West Side and go cross-town at 34th Street to 8th Avenue. Turn right onto 8th Avenue and proceed to 59th Street. Turn right onto Columbus Circle, making another right onto Broadway. Take Broadway to West 62nd Street and turn left. Cross Columbus Avenue. The Lincoln Center parking garage entrance is on the northern side of the street (right side).

From Southern New Jersey
Take the Lincoln or Holland Tunnels.

From Lincoln Tunnel take the exit on the left towards 40th Street and North. Turn left onto West 42nd Street. Turn right onto 10th Avenue, continuing all the way to 65th Street. Turn right onto West 65th Street. The Lincoln Center parking garage entrance is on the southern side of the street (right side).

From Holland Tunnel follow signs to Exit 1 (Uptown and Canal Street) into Laight Street. Follow Laight Street to West Side Highway (Joe DiMaggio Highway). Follow to 56th Street, staying to the right after 42nd Street. Turn right onto West 56th Street. Turn left onto 10th Avenue. Turn right on West 62nd Street. Lincoln Center parking garage entrance is on the northern side of the street (left side).

From Northern New Jersey
Take I-95 North/US-9 North/US 1 North. This becomes I-95 North/Upper Level George Washington Bridge/US-9. Take the Henry Hudson Parkway/178th Street exit. Follow signs to Henry Hudson Parkway South/West Side Highway (Joe DiMaggio Highway). Merge onto Henry Hudson Parkway South. Take the West 79th Street (Boat Basin) exit. Follow the circle and exit onto 79th street. Turn right onto West End Avenue, heading south. Turn left onto 65th Street. Cross over Amsterdam Avenue, continuing on 65th Street. Turn right onto Columbus Avenue. Turn right onto 62nd Street. Lincoln Center parking garage entrance is on the northern side of the street (right side).

From Southern Connecticut
Take I-95 South to Cross Bronx Expressway, taking the last Manhattan exit (leading towards George Washington Bridge). Follow the Henry Hudson Parkway South. Take the West 79th Street (Boat Basin) exit. Follow the circle and exit onto 79th street. Turn right onto West End Avenue, heading south. Turn left onto 65th Street. Cross over Amsterdam Avenue, continuing on 65th Street. Turn right onto Columbus Avenue. Turn right onto 62nd Street. Lincoln Center parking garage entrance is on the northern side of the street (right side).

From Westchester County
Travel south to get onto Route 9 South (from Saw Mill Parkway). Route 9 becomes Henry Hudson Parkway South/West Side Highway (Joe DiMaggio Highway). Take Henry Hudson Parkway South to the West 79th Street (Boat Basin) exit. Follow the circle and exit onto 79th street. Turn right onto West End Avenue, heading south. Turn left onto 65th Street. Cross over Amsterdam Avenue, continuing on 65th Street. Turn right onto Columbus Avenue. Turn right onto 62nd Street. Lincoln Center parking garage entrance is on the northern side of the street (right side).

From Rockland County/Upstate New York
Take New York State Thruway south to Palisades Parkway south to the George Washington Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow signs to Henry Hudson Parkway South/West Side Highway (Joe DiMaggio Highway). Merge onto Henry Hudson Parkway South. Take the West 79th Street (Boat Basin) exit. Follow the circle and exit onto 79th street. Turn right onto West End Avenue, heading south. Turn left onto 65th Street. Cross over Amsterdam Avenue, continuing on 65th Street. Turn right onto Columbus Avenue. Turn right onto 62nd Street. Lincoln Center parking garage entrance is on the northern side of the street (right side).

Take the #1 local train to 66th Street/Lincoln Center Station.

The 1 train can be accessed through the subway entrances on Broadway and 66th Street.

Take the A, B, C, D, #1 trains to 59th Street/Columbus Circle.

By Bus:

The M5, M7, M10, M11, M66 and M104 bus lines all stop within one block of Lincoln Center.
